Running around New York is always a rush. The amount of variety you experience in a single night is unmatched anywhere else in the world. I think the thing that is most inspiring about NYC is the anonymity of it - the way you can blend in and embed yourself into the rhythm of the place. Here are some moments from a visit the other night.

RESOLUTION - New Year’s Eve in Newburgh, NY

This New Year’s Eve, I had the opportunity to attend Resolution - a celebration of the year to come. People from all over the Hudson Valley converged in a beautiful restored warehouse building in Newburgh and enjoyed the music, food, and culture that make this region so unique. The atmosphere in the venue was incredibly warm, and the tapas (Provided by El Solar Cafe) were a nice touch. Some of my favorite Hudson Valley acts were also in the house - including performances by Decora, DJ H20, and The Funk Junkies made for an incredible night. The women of Hudson Valley Circus Arts also came through with a beautiful display of aerial acrobatics as soon as the clock hit midnight. If 2016 is anything like it’s first moments, I’d say we’re in for a magical year.

Enjoy the set!

In the Lab. Brooklyn, New York.

Being in the studio is always an inspiring experience. Watching musicians collaborate to create something completely new is something that has always fascinated me - and I recently had the opportunity to document a studio session with up and coming artist Decora at Converse’s Rubber Tracks studio in Brooklyn, NY. With access to state of the art equipment and a professional sound engineer, the good people of Converse gave Decora free range to realize some brand new concepts. Here’s a behind the scenes look from the day! Shot on Leica & Canon. Tracks from the session coming soon.

 Happy Holidays!
